BBQ for the Blue announces the 2019 Hometown Hero of Long Island

Ocean Spray Hot Tubs of Westhampton Beach was on-site at the My Country 96.1 BBQ for the Blue event Sunday, August 25, 2019 to announce the winner of their Hometown Hero Hot Tub Giveaway!

This is Ocean Spray‘s second annual hot tub giveaway on Long Island. Owner, Joe Musnicki wanted to plan something special and ‘pay-it-forward’ to those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. “What better than to give the gift of a hot tub; relaxation, hot water therapy, entertainment, date night, family time. Everything a hero deserves!” states Joe.

“We receive so many entries and narrowing it down is no easy task,” states Ocean Spray Sales and Marketing Director, Kristy Verity. “This campaign is truly heartwarming and we are so proud to live amongst our nation’s finest.”

“It has been an absolute pleasure to read all of the entries and we are honored to connect with the heroes who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting us. A big round of applause to all that entered and shared your stories. We are so grateful for all of you.” says Kristy.

Event goers gave a big congrats to hot tub winner, Brian Cooney, Oakdale, NY employed by the NY Port Authority, former NYPD Officer of 20 years and 9/11 First Responder. Earlier this year, Brian was a successful kidney donor to a fellow 9/11 First Responder and volunteer firefighter, a kidney cancer survivor in need, and also a man Brian had never met.

“For his decades of service, and now this courageous and selfless act, I would like to nominate Brian to be the Hometown Hero,” stated brother, Gregory Cooney in his nomination on website: oceansprayhottubs.com
